Tasting notesMonbrison 2010 fine wine
Tasted twice with consistent notes, this is a little smudged on the nose: a veil of very ripe black fruits but there is a touch of greenness underneath. The palate is medium-bodied, just a little astringent with a chewy, dense finish that needs more purity and finesse. So-so for the vintage.

Score: 86
A bright, floral style, with violet and singed iron notes up front, followed by silky-textured red currant, black cherry and damson plum fruit. An iron note frames the finish.
